The story of Mekanix

Mekanix was founded in 1991 by Matz Gothensten and Erik Jeppsson and had as main focus sound, light and video technology, and technical coordination of cultural projects.

Since 1999, the business more and more has focused on film. We have both our own production of feature, documentary and information film and we can assist with technology and staff for audio and video recordings, editing, installation and administration. Besides our own resources, we have a wide network of contacts within most disciplines.

Also we continue working with all kinds of technologies for theatre, concerts, events, training and other areas that requires sound, lighting and video solutions. We can help you with the whole chain from project planning, through sound and lighting design, video production and to the supply of technical staff for tours and individual events.

Film

We are working mainly with documentary and feature film, but we also produce information and corporate films, with clients as Region Vastra Gotaland and the Swedish Church.

Sound, light and event

Lighting for theater, stage and events, audio technology for all types of live performances or recording. Image production for stage, theatre and events.
Design and technical coordination of everything from single events to complete tours.

Rentals

We have over the years gained us a lot of technology that can be rented.
DVCAM and HD cameras, DOF-adapters, tripods, microphones, mixers are part of what we can offer. And what we don't have ourselves, we can arrange!

We also rent out our two editing stations, where we work with Final Cut Pro.
For Sound editing and sound design, we work with ProTools and Logic.
